Log Line, Pitch and Partial Synopsis
Log Line:
A reknown photographer is about to lose his most successful Internet model to
cocaine dealers who are destroying her life.
The Pitch
LEROY is a 55 year old photographer fashion photographer who got
blacklisted by every ad agency in Dallas because of his uncooperative
attitude and the fact that he successfully markets and employs his
favorite model by featuring her in her own Internet paysite which has
become the longest running and most successful site of its kind in
existence.
17 year old CINDY has, over time, become the largest selling teen Internet
model in history. Leroy has plans to take her career into more lucrative
mainstream modeling and acting. All seems to be going well when Cindy
suddenly becomes less interested in her career and misses shoots, acting
lessons and other commitments.
It doesn't take long for Leroy to figure out that Cindy’s less than ideal
attitude of late comes from her participation in a growing drug scene
taking place at her apartment complex. To complicate things, her
involvement is bolstered by her brother JULIO, who uses Cindy as an entrée
into private drug circles where he can get free dope and advances. The
apartment complex is teaming with drug activity from the apartment manager
on down.
The drug scene is most alluring to Cindy, who is now becoming aware of her
own sexuality and its influence over many situations. Leroy must get her
out of this scene or lose everything that he and Cindy have built up over
many years.
Partial
Synopsis
LEROY, 55, is a successful website entrepreneur in a web business which
many within it call Teen Modeling. Some models featured in these sites may
have the talent to go on to be legitimate models and be paid professional
fees. Many of the girls are simply attractive for their youth and
willingness to pose in swimsuits or there ability to be compelling in some
way.
CINDY, 17, is an extremely attractive not only for her face and figure,
but also for her bubbly personality and spontaineity which makes the
videos and photos shown in her site the most highly ranked teen modeling
site in terms of log-ins and the continuous subject of much talk and
speculation, in teen modeling chat rooms and various forums all over the
Internet.
Most of those who host teen websites are under the constant scrutiny of
law enforcement, religious groups, talk show “exposées,” and ambitious
politicians who would make a mark by saving these “lovely children from a
fate worse than death.” The upside of the business is that the development
of the career of a young talent is exciting and rewarding financially if
done properly. Such an entrepreneur is Leroy who owns 20 of such sites in
order to make enough money to survive well and at the same time see what
he can develop the career of Cindy market his own talents as a
photographer.
Cindy’s immediate family, due mostly to problematic decision making by
HARLEY, Cindy’s mother, has great difficulty maintaining a household and
are often evicted for failure to pay rent. At 17 Cindy has been an easy
mark for those who “borrow” money yet never repay. Leroy had decided long
ago to put way a large part of her earnings which would eventually go to
her to buy a car or make a down payment on a house some day in the future.
They move into the Trades, with a new resolve to stay up with the rent
take of business. This place was suggested to Harley by Julio, Cindy’s
brother who, although white, believes it contributes to his mystique to
create the impression that he is Mexican, thus solidifying his “street
creds” that he is a bonafide urban gangsta. It just takes a few weeks
living there to discover that the Trades is rife with drug dealers who
sell to teens, and office workers, and young professional who live there
and beyond.
Cindy loves boys, adventure, drugs and avoiding school pretty much in that
order. So it’s often easy for Julio to take her with him – it’s always
easier to get in with a bunch of guys if you have a pretty girl with you,
even if it’s your sister – when he wants some free dope.
This represents about about one third of the story... We will be giving
full scripts to the cast and crew as they sign up for the project.
